How You Can Help

If You Can't Come to Olympia, You Can Still Participate!

1. Send an invitation to participate to all Arts Advocates you know and/or actively recruit someone from your community who can attend–board members, volunteers, patrons, students, teachers, anyone who understands the importance of the Arts can be an effective Arts Advocate.
   
2. Send "Arts Gifts" and letters to Olympia with your Team Captains or with someone else who is attending Arts Day. Keep the gift inexpensive. Posters or postcards from a recent show, art work by a student, a CD - something that symbolizes or represents the Arts in the legislator's own district make excellent "Arts Gifts."
   
3. Contact your Legislators on Arts Day and let them know how the Arts are essential to a healthy community and how he or she can help. At the WSAA Legislative Action Center you will find all the tools you need to contact your legislator and craft your message.
   
4. Respond to other Action Alerts sent out by WSAA.
